Our Last Days with Tim

So, today was our last day watching Tim! (or at least until August)  I'm going to miss him so much!! Mary and Jake really spoiled us with him! He is just the cutest baby I've ever seen! We just love him and he's going to be so big when we see him next! So, here I've posted some pictures of Tim and a few fun videos. :) We enjoy the little guy so much! (p.s. today he wasn't feeling too well so he's not as smiley and talkative as he usually is BUT that doesn't make him any less adorable!!)

Josh holding Tim

The little guy all bundled and wrapped up!

"I'm cute and I know it!"

I LOVE this one...couldn't figure out how to flip it upright tho. My bad.

Poor little guy wasn't feeling too good. :/

See you in a few months Tiny Tim! We'll miss you!

Mothers Day

This post should have gone before the last couple ones but I just forgot! Sadly, on Mothers Day Josh had to work. (Let me just put in real quick that for our Mothers this year I made them each a personalized calendar!)  So, Hannah and I went to Aunt Rhonda's for dinner! Brianne and Brian and their kids were there! They are so cute! And hilarious, I might add.  Hannah was so cute holding baby Hogan!  I just had to take a picture! :) She looks like a natural! Dinner was delicious! And so was dessert! Mostly because of the fresh strawberries from Rhonda's garden.  The McDonald Family Reunion is coming up and for that Rhonda is putting together this craft for the girls to do! She had tons and tons of fabric cut out into circles and tons of nick nacks to decorate with. We will be make flowers accessories for our hair! Rhonda got all of her stuff out so that I could show her how I do mine and so that Hannah and I could make some!! It was so fun! I seriously could make them all day... and at the reunion I probably will! lol

Hogan :)

The accessories Rhonda has made.

Hannah got Hogan to sleep.

The ones that Hannah and I made!
Thanks for everything Rhonda! (I don't even know if she ready my blog. lol Oh well.)

Grandma and Grandpa Abbott

On Thursday Grandma and Grandpa Abbott came into town to help Kayla and Brad with some things.  They took us all out to Zupas for dinner and then to oh dang it I can't remember what it's called!! it's the coolest Ice cream place ever though!! They mix liquids together and then use liquid nitrogen to freeze it into ice cream. Or something like that. We all had a really good time and lots of laughs! :) It was the perfect visit.
The delish Ice Cream!

Freezing the ice cream.

Brad's facial expression makes me laugh so hard....lol

And Grandma wouldn't look at the camera!

My Flowers

Last Wednesday Josh came home with a little gift for me and I just HAD to share!! It was the sweetest thing ever! I was having a rough day and he came home with these for me...I don't think he knows how much it made my day! :) Not only were they flowers but they were my favorite kind! I have the best husband. Ever.

Just for Fun....and for Josh's Birthday!

Saturday May14 was Joshy's birthday! he turned 24! He's SO OLD. Ha...not really.  But compared to me he is! ;)  The weekend before his birthday we went out to Town Center.  We walked around until 9:00pm and then went to eat some sushi! I crave sushi ALL the time. I don't know why! It's just so stinking amazing! We say some really neat stores! This first picture was in some Mormon store.  They had a lot of really cool paintings and pioneer stuff!
 SUSHI TIME...

I wanted to go out together the weekend BEFORE his birthday because I had planned a Surprise Birthday party for him on his actual birthday! My friend Hannah Tracy helped me shop for everything. So she helped make it extra fun! I love that girl! Our friend Ryan took Josh out to see a movie (Thor) while I got everything ready.  We were suppose to have BBQ picnic type thing but the weather turned on me! So we had to eat inside, which was still nice.  Kayla and Brad came and Brad helped me start the grill! Thank heaven's cuz Josh was worried I'd set something on fire. lol.  Brad even grilled everything for me! He was awesome! Ryan brought Josh back to the house and SURPRISE! Josh was really happy! :) I made Brazilian rice and beans with some grilled chicken and hamburger. Then for dessert we had the most delicious Peanut Butter Chocolate Cream Pie topped with Peanut Butter Buck Eyes! It was amazing...mouth watering. Ryan ate so much food! And he loved it all so much you could hardly talk to him because he was so engrossed with it all. lol It was pretty funny.  I was hoping a few more people would show up but Josh really likes small groups of people so it turned out for the best! I had fun doing it all for my honey! I love him so much and I'm very grateful that he was born when he was! :) Otherwise I may have never met him! I love you Josh!

Happy Birthday, my love.

Kayla Liza Quinney JONES

On April 29th Josh's favorite cousin Kayla Quinney got married to the wonderful Bradley Jones!  They were sealed in the St. George Temple on Friday.  Aunt Lisa and Uncle Craig (Kayla's parents) were sealed in that temple so I thought that was extra special for them to be married there also! It was a beautiful sealing and had me in happy tears.  Afterwards they did some pictures.

We even got one with Lucas in there!

The beautiful St. George Temple

Debbie and Russ with a nice view of the temple and sunshine!

Josh and I waiting for the new happy couple to walk out!

Then on Saturday they had a beautiful reception in Josh's parents' backyard! ( I do believe we set that trend) It was so fun! They did fun dances and the food was amazing! They served Crepes and Italian Sodas. Josh and I were the main servers for the night at the Italian Soda stand. But I really enjoyed doing it! Overall the night was amazing and everything was great! Kayla and Brad looked sooooo happy! The whole thing reminded Josh and I of our wedding and reception. We're coming up on a year now! Crazy how time flies. Before they know it Kayla and Brad will have been married for a year! We told Kayla and Brad that still almost everyday, Josh and I will say to each other at least once, " I can't believe we're married!" The wonderfulness of it all still seems like a dream! :) Cheesy, I know. But true! I'm Shelby Lynn Bevell McDonald and now  Kayla is Kayla Liza Quinney Jones. :)

Here are some pictures of the reception:

Russ built this REALLY cute vintage wall with frames for people to take pictures behind! It was awesome! My Father in law is SO talented! :)

Our First Trip to the 'Wooden Park'

So a couple weeks ago Josh and I took a trip to the park! We've both seen this park on our way to Aunt Rhonda's many times.  And we have both always wanted to go and check it out! So we finally did! I packed us a lunch and we hopped in the car to drive all the way to Alpine.  Sadly, I chose the WRONG day to go to the park.  It was COLD and WINDY. And by the time we left it was snowing. lol.  But we still had fun and got some pictures! Instead of having a picnic at the park we ended up in the car in Aunt Rhonda's drive way! lol (No one was home at the time.) Our plans were a little altered and not quite as enjoyable as we had hoped, simply because of the cold and wind.  But overall we still had a good time!

Here we are climbing fearlessly! lol

And here is my victory! lol My face reminds me of Joe here.

And here we're crossing the....bridge thingy? lol

And here is our cute final picture! :) Smile!

Our First Easter (And other fun stuff!)

Our first Easter together was really fun! My family came down to visit us for it! They came Thursday and left Sunday. A couple of the kids would stay with us each night while the rest stayed at the hotel with mom and dad. Every my parents took us out to eat but my dad had a rule: We have to go to a place that we don't have in Las Vegas and that I've never been to. (meaning that most of them haven't been to) So we got to show them around to the best eats in Provo!

Thursday we went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries...

Friday we had J Dawgs for a late lunch and then Pizza for dinner. And I just realized that I didn't take any pictures for that one!! Darn. But on Friday we DID take everyone to the Bean Museum! It was so fun! Joe loved it. As you can tell from all the pictures Joe had a blast.

Our family photo at the Museum...

Saturday for Lunch we went to Zupas!

Here Dad was choking on something so Ben had to slap him on the back lol...

THEN we had our own Easter dinner on Saturday while everyone was here!
Mom and I were the cooks!

I made Easter Egg cupcakes, green beans, bevilled eggs and mom made the ham and potatoes. It turned out really good! It was our first time doing it all on our own! We usually have dinner at Grandma Grossman's and they do the ham and stuff so this year we got to do it! My kitchen was small but we still made it work!

Here's everyone chowin' down...

OH! And I can't forget our cute new plates that we got from D.I. (originally from Ikea!) AND the cute egg napkin holders that Debbie (Josh's mom) gave us for Easter! I wanted Debbie to see that we used them! I thought they were SO cute! :) Thanks Debbie!

We also had an Easter egg hunt in the front grassy area of our apartment! lol Josh, Jacob and I were the Easter Bunnies!

We were ALL so excited!!...especially Jacob ;)

Some other fun things we did...Melissa fell in love with the Jacket that not only looked like a bear but weighed as much as a bear! ;) haaa Just kidding she wasn't in love with it. Quite the opposite. I made her try it on.

And my lovely mother also hemmed a couple of dresses for me! Brought up her sewing machine and everything! :) Thanks mom!

AND last but not least...since I was a baby my dad has called me Peapod. :) While we were at the BYU bookstore I found the CUTEST salt and pepper shakers and I just had to show my dad! (because I wanted him to buy them for me of course.) And surprisingly he gave in and got them for me!! I LOVE them!! So here ya go Daddy-o! :)

And I think that about wraps it up! :)

It was a pretty dang good weekend!
