Date Night!

So a couple of weeks ago we went on a double date! We set our good friend Chris up with my beautiful friend Melissa! Christ unfortunely, was leaving/has left for his job in Washington D.C. so there was really no potential relationship but more just for fun! And it was sucha blast! We went to this Thai restaurant. It was SO GOOD. At least I thought so! It was also Melissa's first time haveing Thai food! So that was fun. :) I of course took pictures of all of our food. Ha.
Our delish coconut lemongrass soup.

Chris' shrimp and asparagus something.

Josh's beef something.

Mine and Melissa's Pad Thai Noodles!
Sorry, I couldn't remember the proper names for those two. lol We also had two appetizers that I failed to capture on camera. They were just so good we ate them up faster than I could snap a picture. ;)
Here are other pictures we took while at dinner.
Chris and Melissa

I think I look better in this pic but Josh looks better in the other one. lol So I posted both.

After dinner we went to dinner we went over to Chris's house and played with the Kinect. It was WAY FUN!! I want a Kinect now. Like really. I want one. Anyways, it was a fun night and we were happy to be with them! :)

The Baxter Wedding

Our good friend Mitchell Baxter got married on June 25th.  Being the good friend that I am ;) I offered to make his cake! They wanted just a small 8" round cake and then cupcakes. I said, " I could do that!" So, I did! And I could! But I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was a LOT of work and very stressful! I got all my supplies weeks before and had trial runs for the cakes and such.  Then the day before the wedding starting at about ten in the morning I starting the baking! I must not forget to give some credit to Chelsea Steed who came over to help me make the cupcakes! If she hadn't helped I'd have been spooning cake batter into cupcake pans for hours! lol So, thanks Chels! :) Then after everything was cooled I started piping! I used my amazing buttercream recipe for the decoration of the cake along with a cake topper, flower arrangement for the middle ( I did myself) and ribbon! ...I wish I could have tasted the cake cuz I'm not gonna lie...it looked SO GOOD. Chocolate cake with a filling of gonache and strawberries. YUM. Buttercream frosting for the cupcakes also...piped to look like roses. And we can't forget the pretty pearl dust to make everything sparkle. Surprisingly everything turned out to look and taste really good! I felt proud of myself! I honestly wasn't sure I could pull it off. lol I'd never done anything like that before! 100 cupcakes and 1 8" inch round for a REAL WEDDING. I finished around midnight. lol And then set up a half hour before the reception the next day. It was a great challenge!

At the end of it all EVERYONE loved my cupcakes!! I got so many compliments and it really made me feel good. ( and it made me blush) I was really really nervous to hear how everyone liked them so hearing good things was such a relief! Congratulations to Mitchell and Whitney!

Joshy's Surprise Gift :D

I found this AMAZING gift for Josh at D.I. I don't think I need to say more.

They were stretchy :) lol

They Are Finally Married

On June 18th my brother in law Chey got married to Alix McLeod. They have waited a long time for this day so we were all happy for it to finally arrive! They were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple and also had a ring ceremony.  The ring ceremony and reception were where?? Drum roll please....The McDonald's backyard!! Yes, another wedding. I started a trend! Russ built a tent to cover the reception area. It was amazing! My Grandpa Grossman said that it reminded him of the after life..."I always imaged it to be like this. We just need some angels singing!" lol It was hilarious! (The tent was white by the way.) Anyways,  my father in law is truly amazing and I love him very much.  He worked so hard and has done so much for our weddings! I don't think I have any pictures of the reception but I do from the temple. So here ya are!

Our Flowers

Here's the progress our flowers have made! :)

More to come!
So hopefully within he next few days I will have a bunch of new posts! I have tons of pictures and things to be uploaded onto here. So keep a look out! ;)

To start...about a month ago Josh and I were craving MEAT. Like steak or ribs kind of meat. So we found a nice New York Steak at Smiths. Seared it for 5 min. on each side on high heat on the grill. Then a lower heat and cooked for about the same time on each side. It was seriously the most AMAZING steak we have EVER eaten. No joke.

YUM!!!!!

Plus here are some pictures of Josh and I with our nephew Allen...they're from the same night.

He looks like a little Elf!
