"Special Delivery!"

This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa Grossman came down to Provo. When they knocked on our door I heard a familiar voice say, " Special delivery!" It was not grandma's voice and definitely not grandpa's. So, naturally I was very confused! I open the door and my mom and sister were standing there with them! It was such a surprise!! The GREATEST surprise! I was so happy to see all of them! Melissa cried she was so happy....and then that got me going a little. It was funny. The grandparents took us out to dinner at Zupas and Grandpa was really impressed with the place! And mom and Melissa both loved it. Mom and Melissa stayed with us and Grandma and Grandpa stayed at the Marriott. It was so much fun!

I had made some Zucchini for them and it turned out really yummy! Josh was in love with it. :) So anyways, on Saturday we took my mom and Melissa out for the day. We went to the BYU bookstore and then to D.I.! Mom bought Melissa and I an Icelandic key chain and Josh a Brazilian one. She also bought me an Orson Scott Card book and then at D.I. we found another and bought Josh a ton of Clive Cussler books! She definitely spoiled us! OH, and I can't forget that they brought Jalapeno cheese curd from Beaver along with my favorite chocolate covered cinnamon bears!! And now, back to Saturday...after shopping we went to lunch at India Palace. (Katie, Britt they LOVED it ;D) It was sooooo good and we were sooooo full after! We got a Coconut chicken Karma and then Lamb Saag. The Lamb Saag looked like baby poop! And mom spilled it down her shirt. LOL It was so funny! When we were done with lunch we had to go back to our apartment to get ready for our Icelandic Thorrablot dinner. For those of you who don't know, my great great grandmother and grandfather were from Iceland! So, I am of Icelandic decent and recently our family has been really into learning more about our Icelandic heritage and such. It has been very interesting. This dinner is hosted every year by the Icelandic Association of Utah. Most Icelanders immigrated from Iceland to Utah, so naturally there are quite a few Icelanders in Utah. My Uncle Glenn is the president of the Association. Grandma Grossman has done lots of Genealogy for her mother's side. I've started doing Family History also, and it is so neat to see the names of my Icelandic ancestors and to be able to learn where they were from and such! I am very honored to have Icelandic ancestors and feel the desire to learn more about them! Josh bought me an Icelandic Book of Mormon the other day and we are going to start learning the language together. And back to the dinner...we had a traditional Icelandic meal. This consisted of Lamb, these really yummy mashed carrot potato's, fried red cabbage (which is grandma's favorite while I didn't really care for it), these delicious cubed red potato's, baked fish and some gravy sauce for your lamb and a curry sauce for the fish. Glenn's whole family was there and it was so good to see them!

I miss his girls a lot. I love Savannah, Julia, and Lillie. Savannah was attached to me for half the night and just talked and talked! She is such a smart girl! I was happy to spend time with them that night and sad to leave. Overall, Josh and I had an exciting weekend! :D Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Grossman!
